I-sieve Technologies Ltd.

i-sieve technologies ltd. (http://www.i-sieve.com [1]) is a spin-off company of the Institute of Informatics & Telecommunications at NCSR “Demokritos”. Its main role is the provision of reliable applications and professional services for software products built on the technology developed at IIT-NCSR “Demokritos”. So far, i-sieve has focused on successfully developing and supporting applications on content identification and content classification, both in stand-alone applications and Web services, using the focused crawlers, web spiders and classifiers developed by NCSR.

Specifically, i-sieve designed, implemented and supports the dynamic Agriculture Science Portal at the Athens University of Agriculture where the content related to agricultural science is dynamically collected, filtered and classified in sections parallel to the Agrovoc thesaurus, and automatically monitored and updated at short intervals. Additionally, i-sieve has designed and implemented the new RDF label detection and parsing module for the ICRAplus platform promoted by the Internet Content Rating Association (http://www.icra.org [2] ). The ICRAplus platform is a stand-alone software for PCs that enforces child-safety labels found on Web content.
